Home Description

Description of the home

Stunning 2-bedroom apartment in Waterloo, close to Moore Park, Redfern, Surry Hills, and Zetland.

I’m looking for a housemate to rent this spacious 2-bedroom apartment. I will provide all the furniture for the living room and common areas—you’ll just need to furnish your own bedroom. My friends bought this place two years ago and have taken great care of it. The kitchen features a gas stove and plenty of storage for both of us. The main balcony runs from the kitchen all the way to the master bedroom, and you’ll also have your own private balcony and bathroom.

The location is excellent—no matter which direction you walk, you’ll find everything you need. Coles and Aldi are across the street. It’s a 5-minute walk toward Waterloo for great Asian food, 10 minutes to Surry Hills for cafés and dining, and about a 25-minute walk to Darlinghurst. There’s a bus stop right downstairs, and gyms/CrossFit studios are all within a 5–10 minute walk.

At the moment, my friends are still living in the apartment, so the furniture shown in the photos will be removed. I’ll be replacing it with mid-century style furniture. The apartment is modern and clean.

The place is available from the evening of the 20th, with the lease starting on the 21st. I do have a cat—she’s very social (dog-like!) and gentle.

About occupants
A bit about me: I work full-time in banking and usually WFH 2–3 days a week. I’m easy-going, social on weekends, and more low-key during the week. I go to the gym 3–4 times a week, enjoy movies and gaming, and dabble in writing and a bit of stand-up comedy — so living with someone who enjoys a laugh is a big plus.

I also have a cat named Chips 🐱 — she’s super friendly, gentle, and basically thinks she’s a dog. She doesn’t scratch furniture or make messes, and she tends to win people over pretty quickly.

I enjoy cooking and love hosting the occasional dinner, and I’d be happy to include my housemate. Most importantly, I really value keeping our shared space clean, comfortable, and drama-free.

If this sounds like your kind of home, send me a message and let’s chat!
Compatible people
I’m looking for a housemate who’s friendly, respectful, clean, and knows how to balance social life with personal space. Someone who actually enjoys living with others — not a mysterious ghost quietly floating through the hallway 👻.

I love the idea of the occasional shared dinner, a drink, or friends coming over (there’s plenty of space), but I’m definitely not looking to turn the place into a party house. Mutual respect and cleaning up after ourselves is a must — and I practise what I preach.
