The house is a 4 minute walk to thomastown train station which will take about 30 minute train ride (mernda line) to get to the city. Coles Lalor is a 10 minute walk or a 5 min drive. The thomastown post office is a 5 minute walk and lalor post office is a 10 minute walk. A commonwealth atm and bank is a 5 minute walk.
