Details
The room is on the top level of the townhouse with the other bedrooms and the bathroom. It's carpeted, has a decent wardrobe, and is about 3x4m. Previous housemates have been able to fit a double bed, side table, and desk in there if they wanted to but there's also room for a desk in the downstairs space. The room is unfurnished, however the outgoing housemate can leave some bedroom furniture if you need it.

Moving date is flexible, so if your dates don't quite align, please reach out anyway!

Home Description

Description of the home

We’re in a great spot in Carnegie, tucked off the main road, right near a primary school but super close to all the Carnegie highlights! We’re a 2 minute walk to Woolies, and Koornang Road, and a 7 minute walk to Carnegie station. It’s about 15 minutes by train to Richmond or 20 minutes to Flinders Street. There’s a reformer pilates place right nearby, several great shops, and a LOT of great takeaway places including Steff’s fave Hot Bird. Carnegie has a great vibe of being busy and not too suburban but also giving off a fun community feel.

Parking wise, if you have a car, there is on street parking available however it is limited.

About occupants
Michelle (25) is an engineer who works in the city and usually WFH 2 days per week. Outside of work, she enjoys latin and ballroom dancing, which sees her out in the evenings around 3 nights per week. During her downtime, she enjoys watching tv shows, creating cross stitches, or having a boogie in the living room.

Steff (34) is an actor and filmmaker who works part time in administration (on site 3 days per week). She is involved in a lot of netball, so between that, shift work, and a creative career, you’ll find her out of the house most evenings and sometimes enjoying a quality weekday sleep in. She loves a good chat, listening to Taylor Swift, and hanging out with the neighbour’s cat when he comes for a visit. When she’s home, you might find her filming a self tape, lying on her bed contemplating life, or impulsively debating a holiday.
Compatible people
You’re able to be sociable and communicate well. Sharehouse trained. Relatively clean and tidy but we’re not gonna be pedantic about it. Someone chill who likes to do their own thing or hang out occasionally and have a good laugh. Someone who’s happy to have people over and socialise while respecting others schedules. Happy to share household tasks and just generally have a responsibility in maintaining the house. Ideally someone in their mid 20’s - early 30’s. Female identifying person preferred however we will consider anyone who gives off the right vibe and feels like they’d be a good fit so if you think that’s you, please reach out! LGBT+ friendly and neurodivergent friendly house! Preferably no pets but willing to have a conversation depending on the animal. Not ideal for someone in a FT work from home position given the layout of the house, but some WFH days would be okay.
