Private bedroom
- Shared bathroom
- Built-in wardrobe
- Use of separate room
There is a smaller spare room that can be used as a home office, study, studio or bedroom for the occasional visiting family or friends. It's a shared space that can be negotiated, though not currently in much use. Ally only occasionally uses it in the evenings.
Bathroom is shared with Ally, but I (Fleur) live out back above the garage with my own bathroom. All other areas are shared, but there's plenty of space and never feels overcrowded.
Home Description
Description of the home
3 Bedroom Home Carlton North.
Quirky spacious home in a fantastic location - minutes from Rathdowne Village cafes, bakeries, bars and grocery stores and park, close to Fitzroy and Carlton swimming pools, 15 minute walk to Piedimonte's supermarket and Edinburgh Gardens, 20 minute walk (or quick bike ride) to Brunswick and Johnston Streets. And about the same to get to Cinema Nova, Brunswick and Brunswick East.
The number 96 tram is right behind the house, and not far to walk to the numbers 1, 6 and 11, and about 15-20 mins to the 86.
There's a delightful farmers market every Saturday with organic fresh produce and heaps of yummy treats.
There is a study that is available to be used for work from home etc. It also doubles as a space for guests to stay.
The kitchen, dining and lounge area are open and lovely in the morning sun with plenty of kitchen storage.
The bathroom has a quirky large spa bath with overhead shower and laundry with dryer and washing machine.
There is a reasonably spacious cute courtyard out the back with many succulents and a lemon tree - great space to share an after work drink in the late afternoon sun.
I live above a large garage (with heaps of storage space) out the back and have my own bathroom and shower, so only use the inside bathroom for laundry and the occasional shower.
The house is furnished, however may be room for some more furniture and we no longer have any outdoor seating, so if you have an outdoor setting that would be a bonus. The available bedroom comes unfurnished.

I studied fine art and am currently getting back into painting, sometimes in the courtyard garden when the weather is fine. I love art, nature, reading, movies, music and music festivals, social drinks and eating. I'm fairly social, though also like some solo down time at home.
Both Ally and I enjoy food and by extension cooking (Ally creates some AMAZING dishes), neither of us are vegetarians, though the majority of my cooking is vego and occasionally vegan, however I do cook chicken and seafood on occasion. I'm big on sourcing my food from small local organic farms and stores.

Allyssa: Hello! I’m Ally, a high school teacher turned childcare educator, and loving Melbourne as my new home. I’m a warm, friendly, and considerate person who values open communication and a calm, respectful home environment. I enjoy being outdoors and stay active through hiking, so I’m usually out during the weekends. I also love a good vino and I spend time exploring cafes, restos and bars every now and then. At home, I’m fairly low-key yet dependable. You can find me in the kitchen cooking Asian foods or just in my own company enjoying quiet time, watching series, crocheting, journaling and reading. I’m tidy, mindful of shared spaces, and appreciate a household where everyone feels comfortable and at ease.
An environmentally conscious house that is generally clean and tidy, though no one will freak out if dishes are left in the sink overnight (there is also a dishwasher for those times when we've done a big cook up) and there is the occasional lived in clutter.
A house where it is welcome to have mates over for a drink or meal when the occasion suits, and open to a party once in a blue moon.
We also like to keep the study accessible as a visitor's room for the odd occasion when any of us has someone coming from a ways away. If need be, we can also look to rent it out to bring the rent down. Though also if it's being used for working from home, will only be used for guests when it doesn't impact on the person using it for work.
We're hoping to find someone that is looking for a home long term. And extra points if you're a green thumb!
