Description of the home
Charming Queenslander in the heart of Paddington
I’ve only just moved in (last Friday!) and I’m already completely in love with this place. It’s a three-bedroom Queenslander, but I’m only renting out one room, so it really feels like a home rather than a crowded share house.
The cottage is full of classic Queenslander charm and sits right in the middle of Paddington. You’re a stone’s throw from the Paddo (if that’s your thing), and just minutes from Paddington’s cafés, bars, and shops. Caxton Street, The Barracks (cinema included), and Suncorp Stadium are all close by, and public transport is easy and convenient — no car required, though there is a covered carport if you have one.
Inside, the house feels warm, relaxed, and easy to live in. There’s a big kitchen, well-sized bedrooms, a central bathroom, and a layout that feels spacious without being overwhelming. There’s also a front deck and a back deck, giving you plenty of spots to sit, unwind, or start the day with a coffee.
It’s a genuinely lovely place to live, and I’m hoping to find someone who’ll enjoy it just as much as I do.

I’m a guy, but not a macho one — I’m thoughtful, self-aware, and very respectful of shared spaces. I’m conscious about how a home feels, and I make sure common areas (including the bathroom) stay clean, comfortable, and easy to share. As the bathroom is shared, I solemnly promise to keep it sparkling always. I understand this can be a point of contention.
I’m into the creative side of life — music, film, and culture — and I have a large vinyl collection, though I’m very mindful about noise. Music is something I enjoy thoughtfully rather than loudly, and the house tends to be quiet, comfortable, and easygoing.
I may also set up the third bedroom as a shared office or creative workspace. If that happens, you’re more than welcome to use it too — a low-pressure, inspiring space to work on ideas or projects if that appeals.
If you’re looking for a respectful, grounded household with good energy and a bit of creative spark, this should feel like a comfortable fit.
Let’s chat!
I’m always up for a chat, a film, a coffee, or spinning a record, but I’m just as comfortable giving each other space and doing our own thing. The goal is a home that feels relaxed, considerate, and easy to live in.
If you’re grounded, thoughtful, and looking for a calm place to land, we’ll likely get along really well.
